Change is hard

A chronic condition changes everything. Multiple chronic conditions changes who you are. Accepting this is the first step in managing your new persona. You can either define the new you or pretend you are who you used to be and parish. The old you no longer exists and the new you needs acceptance, attention and love. No one can do this for you. Stop living in denial. Start living in the here and now. God’s Will is what it is. It is what is. Not what we wish it to be. Accept this my friend. Accept this and thrive. Or deny and die. Those who live in denial of their chronic conditions are the walking dead. Those who accept their true condition thrive. Thrive until you die my friend. Yes, you and I are going to die. It is the one thing in this life that is certain. The only thing we can count on. Guaranteed. A chronic condition is a wake up call. An alarm clock. You can hit the snooze button my friend, but trust me, eventually you will wake up. Do not miss the bus. Love. LOVE is the answer. Love your chronic conditions and live. Live until you die. For ours is not to reason why ours is to do and die.

I LOVE My Chronic Conditions

Chronic disease, chronic illness, or chronic conditions are considered chronic because there is no cure. There are treatments, but no cure. What does this mean? If you are diagnosed with a chronic condition congratulations, it's yours for life.
I've started writing this blog for myself as I have been collecting chronic conditions since I was very young and thought I better blog about them to help keep them straight. The good news is your chronic condition is most likely non-fatal and won't kill you right away at least. The bad news is these conditions are not mutually exclusive of each other. Multiple chronic conditions have a negative multiplicative effect on the mind and body. They act synergistically as a team and can be quite deadly.
I saw a bumper sticker the other day that read, "I am Not a pre-exiting Condition" I have thought a lot about that bumpersticker. I know it's political, but for me has become a talisman. I have many pre existing conditions, but they do not define me.
Short list of what I got:

Obstructive Sleep Apnea
